Missouri has joined Kentucky, West Virginia, Arkansas, and Florida making it the fifth state to implement a rebuttable presumption of 50/50 equal shared parenting when Gov. Mike Parson signed it the legislation into law yesterday.

Sadly for those children in Missouri, this law means absolutely NOTHING to certain judges and guardians ad litem. Take for instance guardian ad litem Sarah Wilde. Ms Wilde is a part of the now nationally known GAL corruption scheme that resulted in the entire judiciary of the 21st Judicial Circuit Court, Saint Louis County – the largest in the state – to recuse itself in case brought relevant to those abuses of power which were revealed in a covertly recorded Zoom Meeting, in which Ms Wilde and several other GALs discussed how to bleed parties dry, maximize fees, and which “professionals” to insist parties use (a violation of Federal Civil Rights, by the way), in order to gain the results that the GALs wanted (in other words, who they could easily influence). Then you have the judges who act with complete impunity, ruling AGAINST the new law, tearing children away from parents, with NO EVIDENCE of ANY history of domestic, family, or other violence. Judges such as Travis Partney, in the 23rd Judicial Circuit Court of Jefferson County, who has handed down judgements removing multiple fathers from the lives of their children, AFTER the effective date of Senate Bill #35, and even after having the new law presented to him.
Until we rid the family court system of such corruption, no judicial “reform,” and no law will matter.
